Hello all,
I enjoyed meeting everyone on Monday!
Here are a few bibliography suggestions...
A Commited Mercy by Stan Carder
All God's Children by Gene Newman and Joni Eareckson Tada
Special Needs Special Ministry Jim Pierson, Louise Tucker Jones, Pat Verbal
A Place Called Acceptance Kathleen Deyer Boldue

I have copies of each of these and I am happy to share, some of them were especially helpful as I was preparing the proposal and vision for our churhc as well as building the ministry.

Also, you might check out

Unexpected Guests at God's Banquet by Brett-Webb Mitchel and
Human Disability and the Service of God Ed. Nancy Eiesland and Don Saliers

I will qualify all of these books by saying that they are all written from a Christian perspective.

Thanks, Brooke! I've been compiling a bibliography based on various database and catalog searches, so it's great to have recommendations of books someone has actually read.
